Welcome to Troop 62!

Unit welcome message

Troop meetings are held every Wednesday from 7:30pm until 9:00pm at the Flemington Presbyterian Church, with the following exceptions (consult the troop calendar for actual meeting dates):

  • any day school is closed
  • Summer
  • Spring Break
  • Holidays
  • day before Thanksgiving

The general meeting format includes time for a meeting of the entire Troop before separating into smaller groups for program work such as planning upcoming events, working on skills, games, or competitions.  Troop meetings always close with a Troop fellowship circle and a Scoutmaster's Minute of Inspiration.

Purpose of the Boy Scouts

The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide boys an effective program designed to build desirable qualities of character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop their personal fitness, thus helping in the development of American citizens who:
